Genesis 1:26 tells of God’s work and that is creating His family in His image and likeness. We are his workmanship and He treasures each and everyone of us above all things in the universe.
Genesis 1:26-28 “…Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness…” This is the theme of the Bible. Verse 27 says “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him, male and female created He them.” God created Adam and Eve to look like Him not to be Him, but a mirror image of Him. This was his physical creation. Adam looked like God looked when God presented Himself to man. The spiritual likeness was to come later for it required more time.
